Your donations in action

Transforming lives for over a decade

Since 2008, Global Aid Trust has been delivering sustainable water solutions to vulnerable communities. Through the installation of deep wells and water systems, we have helped reduce reliance on unsafe water sources and long daily journeys to collect it. Access to clean water reduces waterborne disease, improves school attendance, and strengthens long-term community health.
Our work goes beyond installation. We partner with trusted local teams to ensure every project is delivered responsibly and continues serving families for years to come. When communities gain reliable access to safe water, children stay in school, parents build stable livelihoods, and dignity is restored — creating lasting impact for generations.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long does it take to build a well?

Project timelines vary depending on location and ground conditions. In most cases, installation takes between 4–12 weeks from the time funds are allocated. Remote areas or seasonal conditions may extend timelines slightly.

2. Will I receive updates?

Yes. Once the project is completed, we aim to provide photographic evidence of the well or water installation. Where possible, updates include images of the completed project and the community benefiting from it.

3. Will there be a name plaque installed?

Where possible, a name plaque can be installed on the well or water project in the donor’s name or on behalf of a loved one. We aim to provide photo evidence upon completion. Please note that plaque placement may vary depending on local regulations and project type.

4. Is this considered Sadaqah Jariyah?

Yes. Providing clean water is widely regarded as Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), as it continues to benefit people daily. Every use of the well — for drinking, cooking, or washing — contributes to ongoing reward.

5. Can I donate on behalf of someone else?

Yes. You may dedicate your donation in memory of a loved one, as a gift, or on behalf of family members. Simply provide the name during the donation process.

6. Where are the wells installed?

Wells and water projects are delivered in vulnerable communities across Bangladesh and parts of East Africa, depending on the specific project selected.

7. Can I contribute towards a well instead of funding the full amount?

Yes. You may donate towards a share of a larger project. Shared contributions are pooled together to fund the installation of a complete well or water system.

8. Is Gift Aid applicable?

If you are a UK taxpayer, you may be eligible to add Gift Aid to your donation at no extra cost to you. This allows us to claim an additional 25% from HMRC.
